In the past, Wesco treated natural vegetable-tanned leather as a hidden option - even as a dealer, it took me years to find out. Back when natural leather boots were still quite rare, Wesco quietly offered this option for customers who were sensitive or allergic to dyes and chrome tanning.

In recent years, Wesco has released more natural leather options, but they tend to be softer and more comfortable. This pair, however, uses genuine vegetable-tanned leather - thicker and stiffer. Comfort may be somewhat compromised, but for Wesco enthusiasts, it’s definitely a unique and special pair.
