Barns Outfitters, founded in 1933, is a Japanese brand with a long history of producing vintage-inspired American casual wear. Since its establishment, the brand has insisted on using the Union Special Flatseamer and extremely rare traditional knitting machines such as the circular hanging knitting machines that have been preserved since Japan’s Taisho era (1920s). Each piece is carefully crafted by highly skilled Japanese artisans, rejecting today’s mass-production trends in favor of delivering the highest quality and ultimate comfort. With designs that are simple yet deeply refined, Barns Outfitters faithfully preserves and revives the charm of classic American clothing from the 1950s to the 1970s.
