Double Helix

In February 2017, Kaori Matsuda, who ran men’s bespoke, and Jay, a horsehide product lover, decided to launch their own luxury horse leather brand. After being founded, We quickly started designing products and developing original leather, and the launch was smooth.

However, because the high fiber density of horse leather, the sewing machine and sewing skills used for sewing are also unique, and the production efficiency is not high, so it is difficult to meet a sewing factory that can manufacture products, and it has been going up and down repeatedly.

Meanwhile, I had a wonderful encounter with craftsmen who make products of world-class brands in Japan. Blessed with that connection, we were able to have a production line dedicated to double helix, and now we are able to consistently carry out manufacturing and quality control specialized for our own planned products. And this alliance continues to evolve day by day.

The name of the sports jacket will give people the impression of sports and competitive Clothing, but as early as the 1920s, "sports jacket" is the general term for everyday casual, jackets, which generally refers to wearing comfortable everyday clothes. The short length of the dress design, the cut to restore leisure and comfort, is the biggest feature of Classic 1920s. In the details of the design, the pockets on both sides and the shape of the sleeves are echoed with the round neck shape of the shawl collar, with a more rounded line. Both sides of the waist are equipped with an adjustable belt buckle based on the design of the early 20th century.

Double Helix's suede horsehide is made from 0.8 mm French horsehide leather. Horsehide fibers are denser than cowhide, giving it a more luxurious luster and color change. The weight of the leather jacket itself is as light as sheepskin, making it extremely comfortable to wear.
