MotivMfg was founded in Beijing in 2016 by Taiwanese creative director Wei Xin and designer Gu Guanglun. It began as an independent studio integrating both design and production, with the aim of creating “garments born for the future, rooted in tradition.”
Through in-depth research into traditional garment-making, the brand refines human-centered details and techniques, allowing its clothing to move beyond mere nostalgic “reproductions” and instead become “innovations” that integrate seamlessly with modern wear.
With its own textile workshop and tailoring team, MotivMfg utilizes a variety of specialized machinery and skilled craftsmanship to combine formal, military, and workwear elements, producing garments that balance comfort with refined detail.
