Founded in Beijing in 2016 by Taiwanese founders Wei Xin and designer Gu Guanglun, MotivMfg began as an independent studio combining both design and production, with the vision of creating “garments for the future, grounded in tradition.”

Through in-depth research into traditional tailoring, MotivMfg refines details and techniques that embody a sense of humanity, allowing clothing to go beyond simple nostalgic “reproduction” and instead achieve a form of “innovation” that harmonizes with contemporary wear.

With its own textile workshop and tailoring team, the brand employs specialized machinery and artisanal skills to merge elements of formal, military, and workwear, resulting in garments that balance comfort with meticulous detail.
